A 210,000 square foot expansion to the Kraft corporate headquarters. The new addition was a long, linear building, similar in appearance to the existing building, with a glass enclosed connecting link. The new building houses additional corporate offices and support staff spaces. The structure was framed with structural steel with moment frames and shearwalls. Design features included a large atrium space, a unique system to support the precast concrete and curtainwall cladding, and a complex system of in-floor data/telephone communication lines.
