Lisle High School Additions

Architect: Perkins & Will
Location: Lisle, Illinois
Three major additions to the existing high school. A new gymnasium addition plus circulation spine, approximately 22,700sf, and a new theater/stage/lobby plus band room addition, approximately 20,000sf, are located on the north end of the existing school. The gymnasium and theater spaces have gently arcing roofs formed with specially fabricated long span steel joists. The rear of the gymnasium features a second floor area, housing workout spaces, built over an existing roof. A new two-story library addition was constructed at the south end of the existing school. The entire structure is framed with structural steel. The building is clad with masonry.
