Dubuque, Iowa

The project consists of a four story office building, with a mechanical penthouse, on a flat site in Dubuque, Iowa.  The building is approximately 135,000 g.s.f.  The first floor is a slab-on-grade and the building construction is a steel frame with composite slab floors and roof.  Lateral resistance is provided by braced frames and moment frames.   The building bears on auger cast piles due to the inadequate soils in the area.
