The project consists of a new middle school building,
approximately 94,000sf in size. The building is radial in plan and
sits on a greatly sloping site. The school consists of two story
classroom houses with pre-cast floors and roofs; and one-story shared
activity spaces. The shared activity spaces have sloping joist
roofs, which extend above the two story spaces, with a glass block
clerestory in between the two. The building uses a combination of
steel frame and masonry bearing walls.
