Buffalo Grove, Illinois

The project consisted of a 16,000sf one story plus basement addition to the existing school. The addition houses a multi-purpose room with an operable wall at the basement level and classrooms on the main level. A new elevator is located adjacent to the existing building, which required underpinning of the existing foundations. The building’s main level is framed with a concrete floor on steel bar joists and steel beams. The flat roof is framed with a metal deck/steel bar joist system.
