Upstream Brewing Co.

Architect: Aumiller Youngquist, P.C.
Location: Omaha, Nebraska

The project is a 22,000sf two-story restaurant with an exterior terrace and full basement. A series of exterior retaining walls were used to retain the soil at the terrace, which is located at the building’s main level. The first and second floor levels were framed using steel beams with composite metal deck. A portion of the building’s second floor is framed with pre-cast channel slabs over steel beams to allow exposed structure. The center roof portion, known as the barn, is framed with exposed curved steel trusses. The steel trusses span approximately 48 feet and have a curved top chord and a flat bottom chord. The building also has two exposed steel canopies.
